Additionally Charles implements institutional level processes and systems relative to leasing activities, and mentors junior brokers that are assisting on accounts. Prior to joining Collett & Associates, Charles was a Senior Leasing Associate in the retail division at Crosland, where he was responsible for leasing a multitude of projects for an array of partners and third party owners, and was involved in leasing from ground up the following projects: Shops at Greenridge (Greenville, SC) a hybrid power center; Providence Marketplace (Mt. Juliet, TN),a 850,000 sf project in East Nashville; Biltmore Park (Asheville, NC) a mixed use project led by street front retail; Richmond Centre (Richmond, KY), Kentucky’s largest open air development in development; and Tranquil Court (Charlotte, NC), an infill mixed use project in one of Charlotte’s premier submarkets. On each project his scope of responsibility has included anchor and junior anchor leasing assignments, along with shop leasing and outparcel marketing. Additionally, he leased assets for Eastern Federal Corporation and RREEF. He began his real estate career in Charlotte, with Aston Properties a regional retail developer. Charles is a licensed broker in North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky & Tennessee, and member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Charles lives in Charlotte with his wife, Lauren and their two children, Payne and Wilson.
